Sound and Strength works with clients who are self-funded, or those who are eligible for funding from a range of sources. We can work with clients who have funding through:

NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)

Sound and Strength is an NDIS registered provider. Whether you are self-managed, plan managed or NDIA managed, we can work with you around your needs.

HOME CARE PACKAGES

Sound and Strength partners with a range of Home Care Package providers across Adelaide to help people maximise their independence and quality of life in their homes.

CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT PLANS- MEDICARE

After speaking with your General Practitioner, you may be placed on a plan to assist with management of your health conditions. Rebates may then be available which will assist with the cost of your speech pathology sessions.

WORK COVER

We can work with you following a workplace injury that has resulted in communication or swallowing problems. We work with a range of insurance providers around return to work.

DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS

‘Sound and Strength’ is a DVA Speech Pathology provider. The Department for Veterans’ Affairs fund a range of health services. A referral is needed from your GP, medical specialist, treating doctor in hospital or hospital discharge planner. You may be able to receive Speech Pathology services if you have an assessed clinical need and a Veteran Gold Card; or a Veteran White Card and your treatment is for an accepted service-related condition. You will need to confirm with DVA prior to accessing services what you are eligible for.

PRIVATE ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES

Many Allied Health Services are covered under health fund “Extras” policies. Please check with your private health insurer to find out if your policy covers your services and entitles you to a rebate.

Sessions are billed at 60 minutes (45-minute consultation + 15 minutes for individualised planning, and documentation)
